Hello everyone, yesterday we held a zoom meeting going over some new updates. Thank you to everyone who attended, and here’s a recap if you missed it.
- Thank you to everyone who participated in our fundraiser at California Tortilla Kitchen, we appreciate you!
- A huge announcement is that we have launched our Heart Pillows project! A few of you may have heard from us that we’ll be starting in another week, but we actually have all the materials ready to go now! Please let us know if you’re interested and would like to participate in this project. We’ll prepare the materials accordingly, and like all of our other projects, please contact us one or two days beforehand to check whether we’re available or not for you to pick up the fabrics from Allison’s house.
- We have decided on the date for our 20K celebration! It’ll be held at Allison’s house at 8808 Wandering Trail Drive, Potomac MC from 6PM to 8PM on June 19th, and everyone’s invited! There’ll be hot dogs, hamburgers, and cookies to celebrate, and we’ll also be taking some group pictures for our website.
- We’re also launching our T-Shirts for $10, so if you would like to purchase one to support our non-profit organization, thank you! We will be selling them at the 20K party and a preview of what they look like is attached below
- There will also be lots of different activities for everyone to participate in – we will be stuffing heart pillows with fiber/cotton, packaging masks together for the month’s donation, folding donation boxes, and more!
- Updates on Mask Donations
- On May 27th, we donated 205 masks to Montgomery County Detention Center and 240 masks to Anne Arundel Detention Center
- On June 4th, we donated 205 masks to Doctors Community Hospital and 200 to Howard University Hospital.
