In November 2022, we partnered with Montgomery County Regional SGA (MCR-SGA) in order to donate Letters to Veterans to the Veterans Affairs Center for Veterans Day.
Every two months, the MCR-SGA invites different organization to selected events to help promote and share the work students do in Montgomery County. This month, HSFL was selected to share our story. At this event, we were asked to present about HSFL, who we are, and what we do. Towards the end of the presentation, we asked students attending to help us with our donation and write letters to veterans.
It was a wonderful opportunity to share with the Board of Education in Montgomery County and bring exposure to the important work that we do for the community. We were able to donate 50 additional letters to veterans thanks to the event! Check out our photos and edited video below.
